OUR OFFICE STAFF
Brendon Sowerby
Director
Brendon grew up playing rugby in Feilding. In 2003, he was given the opportunity to travel to the UK to play rugby. In 2004, he travelled the US, also to play rugby. It was while working as a construction labourer to help fund his travels that Brendon found his passion for the construction industry.
Upon his return to New Zealand, Brendon began working as an apprentice builder, however, he had caught the travel bug, so travelled back to the UK where he started a loft conversion company. He learnt a lot from this experience, like how to work to a tight budget and think creatively to maximise client’s spaces.
Luke Bateson
Project Manager
Luke started his career as a builder in the Waikato, before travelling to the United Kingdom in 2002 where he worked for 8years. After putting down the tools in 2014, Luke began working as a Civil General Foreman, where he worked on roading projects, bridges and rail. In 2015, he begun working in residential construction for a home building company as a Project Manager.
In 2016, he made the move to Next Level Construct as our Project Manager. Luke looks after all of our site staff, subcontractors and will be your point of call at every stage of your project.
Luke is extremely passionate about ensuring every project meets the Next Level Construct standard, and isn’t afraid to jump on the tools and get his hands dirty.
Rachel Taylor
Quantity Surveyor
Rachel has worked as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction sector since 2013. She joined Next Level Construct to help with the numbers, and oversees the construction costs during your project. Rachel thoroughly enjoys being part of the construction industry, and encourages active communication and collaboration between all parties to help ensure the design and budget meets your needs.
She has a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a drive for perfection second to none.
When she isn’t working, you’ll find Rachel with her horses or pursuing other outdoor activities.
Claire Kearns
Office Manager
Claire has been working in a range of administrative roles since 2012, working for several large organisations before joining Next Level Construct in 2016.
In her time with Next Level Construct, she has totally changed the way our office runs. She has a keen eye for detail and is extremely organised.
Claire will help guide you with the processing of your contracts as well as setting you up on Co-Construct, our project management software. She will also be available for support if you have any non-technical questions along the way.
Anne-Marie Holder
Marketing Coordinator
Anne-Marie has been working in marketing and public relations since 2013. After graduating from Auckland University of Technology in 2012 with a Bachelor of Communication Studies, she began working in the University’s corporate communications team, where she held several roles. In 2017, she joined New Zealand’s largest independent intellectual property firm as their Marketing Coordinator, looking after external communications, sponsorships and advertising.
Everything from the website, marketing collateral, social media and articles is looked after by Anne-Marie. She is often found on–site, taking photos of every stage of your project.
